Infrared reveals the part of the landscape that eludes us.
What interests me is that particular moment: someone looks, recognises a tree or a lake, yet stops because something doesn’t quite fit.
It shifts just enough to make us look again.
Look twice.
I am interested in the slight gap between what we recognise and what we don’t quite understand. That is where the image begins to exist.
An invitation to slow down and contemplate what has always been there.
Much of the work happens before the photograph. Finding a place, taking in its surroundings, waiting for something to appear rather than searching for it.
I try to reveal what landscapes already hold, what the first glance misses.

What draws me to these landscapes is what they reveal beyond the first glance. I try to slow down, staying with a scene long enough for something unexpected to appear.
