Welcome to the Infrared Photography Editing Pack!

If you’ve ever been curious about the surreal and magical world of infrared photography, this pack is your gateway to exploring its creative possibilities. Designed to help you experiment with editing near-infrared images, it’s perfect for those who want to try the process before committing to buying specialized gear.

Important note

The profiles in this pack are designed specifically for the camera used to capture the included RAW files. All original LUTs I used to create the profiles are included in .cube format. By providing these LUTs, I’ve made it possible for you to recreate the same channel swap profiles included in this pack but optimized for your own camera.

If you want to move ahead in your infrared journey, I’ll be happy to guide you with resources to create your profiles.

Who Is It For?

This pack is for photographers who:

  • Are curious about infrared photography but aren’t sure where to start.
  • Want to understand the editing process before investing in filters or converting their cameras.
  • Are looking for an easy, hands-on way to experiment with infrared images and profiles.

Whether you’re completely new to infrared photography or considering your next step, this pack offers an accessible way to discover the editing process and the potential of this incredible technique.

What’s Included

  • 2 White Balance Profiles: Essential for setting the correct white balance for infrared photography.
  • 16 Color Swap Profiles: Designed to swap colors and create stunning infrared looks like golden skies, electric blues, and more.
  • 2 sets of RAW Files: Taken with a full-spectrum camera and 7 different filters, allowing you to explore different editing outcomes.
  • 16 original LUTs used to create all color swap profiles.

The filters used are: IR Chrome, IR Blue, 550nm, 590nm, 665nm, 720nm, and 850nm.

All photos have been taken using the same full spectrum camera and lens. The white balance has been done on the same surface.

White Balance

When opening an infrared image in Lightroom, you may notice that the white balance slider is limited, making it impossible to achieve the proper white balance needed for editing infrared photos. This is a known limitation of Lightroom when working with images taken in near-infrared light. As a result, the image appears red, making it difficult to start your editing process.

To overcome this, two different profiles are included that will allow you to apply the correct white balance, without swapping any color channel.

Color Swap Profiles

The 16 Color Swap Profiles included in this starter pack are designed to correct the white balance and swap the color channel of these infrared images to completely transform the look of the raw shot.

From vibrant golden skies to ethereal electric blues, these profiles make it easy to see the artistic possibilities of infrared photography.

Here is an example of the filter 590nm, which produces some of the vibrant colors you can get with infrared photography.
