Between Lavigny and Yens, this tree with its distinctive silhouette proudly stands in a field. I went there several times to scout and determine the best angle. Multiple times, because the rather unfriendly cows made it abundantly clear that I had no business being there…

After a few weeks, they were relocated, giving me a clear field! The setting sun filtered through some trees, preventing the one I wanted to capture from being illuminated as I desired. So, I took several vertical photos to create a panorama, and then several photos at irregular intervals to capture the passing sun on my subject. Thanks to post-processing, I was able to create the exposure of the tree that I envisioned by overlaying these photos.
