SURVIVOR

A bent tree beneath a collapsing sky. A white slope behind it, black clouds in front. It holds on.

This silhouette has an official name in the canton of Fribourg: Le Survivant. It stands behind the Moléson, reached by a small alpine pasture road. A remarkable tree that I look forward to visiting again.
