PATH

A dirt path curves between fences and red trees. You cannot see where it leads.

Walking back up from the Aubonne arboretum after an afternoon photographing along the river, I returned to the road towards St-Livres. When I turned around, I saw the path I had just taken; the fence added a line that guided the eye all the way along it. I wondered what this scene would look like in another colour. Without knowing it yet, this would be my favourite image of the day.
